The Guild for Exceptional Children has been providing care, education, and support to children and adults with developmental disabilities since 1958. Like so many others, COVID19 has hit our people and services hard. We are raising money to build our services back, and reach people with developmental disabilities who need our help.
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN/WALK? A Virtual Run/Walk is a 5K or 1 mile walk or run that can be completed in your own country, your own neighborhood, at a local park, or even on the treadmill. You can run, walk, ride or roll!
Sign up, gather some friends, decide on a route, and get out and move! The best part is, you'll know that each step you take is helping the Guild for Exceptional Children!
USE THE IYR VIRTUAL RACE APP. IF YOU WANT TO. The IYR Virtual mobile app syncs with all virtual races hosted on ITS YOUR RACE, including our event! After you are registered, click the link below to find out more information about the mobile app and how to use it for tracking your 5K or 1-mile race. You can also upload photos from your own personal race course, or share a selfie at the end!
DONATE OR BECOME A FUNDRAISER FOR THE GUILD FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN! We're asking all participants to go a step further and continue your support by making an additional donation and becoming a fundraiser for the GEC!
If you choose to become a fundraiser, you can be rewarded for all additional collected donations from your family and friends upporting the GEC. If you collect $100 (above your registration fee) you will be awarded with your choice of a Microfiber Beach Blanket/Towel, or a Tun Urban Backpack by Taroko. If you collect $200, the GEC will award you with both items. The GEC logo will appear on the items.
Even if you aren't interested in the race or fundraising, you can simply make a donation to support the GEC!
